Zopmedia is a brand dedicated to promoting the congolese image, both photographic and cinematic, especially through its cinema with new national narratives that reflect a country projected towards a positive and growing future.
Cecilia made her directorial debut with La Belle at The Movies (2015), which screened at more than twenty international film festivals, including the African Film Festival at Lincoln Center, New York, and the BFI British Film Institute in London in 2019.
In 2023, she completed two documentaries, which she co-produced and co-directed: the short animation film Ota Benga about the pigmy who was exhibited at the Bronx Zoo, and the feature AP Giannini: Bank to the Future about the founder of Bank of America.
Cecilia Zoppelletto’s passion for cinema has evolved over time into a desire to preserve images from the past, so that future generations can know and appreciate the history and culture of RDC through the medium of film.
Too often, in fact, narratives about Congo are distorted or limited to stereotypes, not reflecting the richness and complexity of its culture and its people.
This vision gave birth to Zopmedia, a consulting agency committed to promoting and supporting the emerging film industry in Congo.
